FOUR STUDENTS RECEIVE FEDERATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Four Madison County college students received Federation scholarships and were recognized at Auburn University Events.
Jeremy Comer, Sonja Cox and Michael Torres, all of Huntsville, received the Madison County Farmers Federation scholarship at Auburn University’s College of Agriculture’s annual Scholarship Recognition Program Aug. 24. The three are juniors at Auburn. Comer is studying horticulture, Cox is studying animal sciences and Torres is studying agricultural business and economics.
Lucas “Connor” Webster of Madison County received the Alabama Farmers Federation Scholarship at the Federation Scholarship Recipients Luncheon in Auburn earlier the same day. He is a freshman studying agronomy and soils at Auburn University.
This year’s Alabama Farmers Federation scholarships were awarded to 23 high-achieving young men and women from Alabama who are pursuing agriculture-related degrees.
The Alabama Farmers Federation, Alfa Insurance and county Farmers Federations are committed to supporting the college dreams of students studying agriculture. These organizations donate thousands of dollars each year to students across the state.
