William “Dalton” Burns of Crenshaw County received the Alabama Farmers Federation Scholarship at the Federation Scholarship Recipients Luncheon in Auburn Aug. 24. He is a junior studying poultry science production at Auburn University.
This year’s scholarships were awarded to 23 high-achieving young men and women from Alabama who are pursuing agriculture-related degrees.
The Alabama Farmers Federation, Alfa Insurance and county Farmers Federations are committed to supporting the college dreams of students studying agriculture. These organizations donate thousands of dollars each year to students across the state.

The Crenshaw County Farmers Federation hosted its annual fish fry to honor their elected officials. More than 25 people attended. Officials in attendance included State Rep. Charles Newton, D- Greenville; Crenshaw County Commissioner Michelle Stephens; State Sen. Dick Brewbaker, R-Montgomery; and Crenshaw County Probate Judge Jim Perdue.
