Plans Two Timber Industry Events
The Jackson County Farmers Federation has scheduled two forestry-related events this fall, according to newly elected President Phillip Thompson.
The first event, a timber management seminar, is set for Sept. 9, 5:30 p.m., at Mud Creek Restaurant. The seminar will address such issues as selling timber, timber theft and trespassing.
On Oct. 14, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., the JCFF`s Forestry Planning Committee will hold a tour of the Raymond Jones Farm in Paint Rock.
