About My Farm:
We own Selwood Farm, an 800-acre licensed quail hunting preserve and sporting clay range with forestry, which enhances the hunting.
What I Like About Agriculture:
I like the friendships I have made with the people I've met through various agriculture associations.
The Biggest Challenge Facing Agriculture:
Government involvement is the biggest challenge facing agriculture today, including - but not limited to - taxes and regulations.
I'm Proud Of:
I'm proud of what we've created here. From hard work, we have created a venue that people enjoy visiting and provide recreational activities that people want to participate in.
About My Family and Faith:
My wife, Carolyn, and I have been married 46 years. We met at Auburn University.
We have two children, Alan (40) and Mary Lyn (38), and we also have five grandchildren.
We are a Christian family and members of Double Oak Community Church in Mt. Laurel.
Education:
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University.
A Good/Bad Day is:
A good day is when nothing breaks, and checks arrive in the mail instead of bills.
We don't have many bad days, but a day we get rained out could be considered a bad day.
