3 cups sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) butter
1/2 cup Crisco oil
5 eggs
3 cups cake flour
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cream sugar, butter and oil. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add flour to mixture, alternating with milk. Beat well, add vanilla. Bake in a generously greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
