SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 3 cups sugar 1 cup butter-flavored vegetable shortening 1 tablespoon vanilla 1 teaspoon butternut flavoring 6 large eggs 3 cups minus 2 tablespoons sifted all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
Mix sugar, shortening and flavorings. Add two eggs and mix well; then, thoroughly mix in 1 cup flour. Repeat with remaining eggs and all but 1/4 cup flour. Add sour cream and mix well; mix in remaining flour along with salt and baking soda. Spray a tube pan with non-stick baking spray with flour. Add batter to prepared pan. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes in a preheated 325 degree oven. Cool in pan 5 minutes.
