OLD-FASHIONED TEA CAKES|
1 cup vegetable shortening, melted
1 cup sugar
2 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
Allow melted shortening to cool 5 minutes, then in a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine all ingredients. Roll dough into small balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees about 10 minutes until slightly browned.
