SAUSAGE WONTONS 1 (24-count) package wonton wrappers 1 pound bulk pork sausage 1/2 cup chopped green peppers 1/2 cup chopped red sweet peppers 1/2 cup chopped green onions 1 cup shredded Colby cheese 1 1/2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese 1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
Place wonton wrappers into greased mini-muffin pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes or until wrappers are browned around edges. In a skillet, crumble and cook sausage until browned; drain. In a bowl, mix sausage, peppers, onion, cheeses and dressing; mix well. Fill wonton wrappers with sausage mixture, and cook for 6 to 7 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow wontons to cool slightly before removing from pan for serving. Note: Shelia uses hot and spicy sausage for this recipe, but mild may be used. |
