TOMATO GRAVY 5 tablespoons flour 4 tablespoons cooking oil 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Water (as needed) 1 (14-ounce) can of diced tomatoes
In a heavy skillet, brown flour in cooking oil and add seasoning and enough water to make a smooth gravy. Add tomatoes and blend in with potato masher. Note: For spicier gravy, use 1/2 can of regular diced tomatoes and 1/2 can of spicy tomatoes, such as Rotel. |
