HONEY BUN CAKE 1 box butter recipe cake mix 2 sticks butter or margarine, softened 4 eggs 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/3 cup chopped pecans 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 cup powdered sugar 1 tablespoon milk 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease bottom only of 9-inch by 13-inch baking pan. Remove 1/2 cup dry cake mix, and stir together with brown sugar, pecans and cinnamon; set aside. Beat remaining cake mix, butter, eggs and sour cream in a large bowl on medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping side of bowl occasionally. Spread half the batter in prepared pan. Sprinkle on pecan mixture, and carefully spread remaining batter evenly over pecan mixture. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until cake is golden brown and springs back when touched in the center. Stir together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, adding additional tablespoons of milk if needed, until mixture is thin enough to drizzle. Pierce the top of the warm cake several times with a fork and spread glaze over warm cake. Cool 1 hour. Store covered.
