CABBAGE AND SAUSAGE ONE-SKILLET MEAL 3 tablespoons bacon grease or oil 1 package polish sausage, cut into 1/2- inch pieces 1 medium cabbage head, sliced into strips 1 medium onion, sliced into strips 1/2 cup water, divided
Heat bacon grease or oil in a large, deep-sided skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook through. Remove sausage from pan, and add cabbage, onions and 1/4 cup water. Cover with lid and cook 2 minutes, then stir well to prevent burning. Add remaining water and cook 8 to 10 minutes until cabbage is tender. Add sausage back to skillet and heat through.
