WHOLE WHEAT BANANA NUT BREAD|
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar (white or light brown)
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups stone ground whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9-x5-inch loaf pan.
In medium bowl, cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, bananas, and vanilla.
In large bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and salt. Blend the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until mixed well. Add in nuts. Pour into loaf pan and bake approximately 60 minutes. Turn out of pan to cool completely for better slicing or enjoy warm.
