4 medium green peppers
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 (14-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce, divided
1 cup seasoned croutons, crushed
½ cup chopped onion
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¾ pound ground chuck
Grated Parmesan cheese
Remove tops and seeds from washed peppers. Set aside.
In a bowl combine egg, ¾ cup spaghetti sauce, and next four ingredients stirring well. Divide meat mixture evenly among peppers, placing stuffed peppers in a lightly greased 8-inch square microwave-safe dish. Cover loosely with wax paper and microwave on high 12-to-14 minutes. Spoon desired amount of remaining sauce over tops of cooked peppers, and microwave on high 10-to-15 minutes more, until beef is cooked through, peppers are softened and sauce is bubbly. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
