ALABAMA PEANUT PRODUCERS TO HOLD ANNUAL MEETING FEB. 9
"MONTGOMERY, Ala." The Alabama Peanut Producers Association will hold its 43rd Annual Meeting on Friday, Feb. 9 at the Ozark Civic Center in Ozark in Dale County. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a program that will begin at promptly 10 a.m. A catered lunch will be served at noon. Guest speakers will present updates on a variety of peanut related topics including: National Peanut Board, Peanut Advisory Board, Southern Peanut Farmers Federation, Southeast Peanut Research, and what growers can expect from Washington in regards to legislation. There also will be drawings for door prizes for growers who register at the meeting. Following the annual meeting, there will be a Alabama Peanut PAC meeting and an APPA business meeting. All area peanut growers and others interested in the peanut industry are invited to attend.
