FEDERATION TEAMS WITH ARIENS FOR MEMBER BENEFIT

"Montgomery, Ala." The Alabama Farmers Federation has joined forces with Ariens Corporation to offer its members discounts on Ariens and Gravely lawn and garden equipment.

Federation President Jerry Newby said members will save 10 percent on the complete line of Ariens and Gravely power tools and lawn equipment at more than 20 participating dealers statewide.

"We are pleased to add this program to the growing list of benefits available to Alfa members," Newby said. "Like Alfa, Ariens is a family organization that's committed to providing its customers with quality products and exceptional service. I want to thank the Department of Organization, and especially Area Organization Director Louis Coles, for continuing to seek out new ways to add value to Alfa membership."

Coles, who negotiated the Ariens program, said the 10 percent discount could easily save members more than the cost of their annual dues.

Ariens and Gravely manufacture a full line of walk-behind and zero-turn mowers as well as yard tractors, string trimmers, tillers, chippers and professional vacuums. Ariens Co. of Brillion, Wis., has been producing premium lawn, garden and snow removal equipment since 1933. In 1982, Ariens purchased Gravely Commercial Products of North Carolina. Today, Dan Ariens, the great-grandson of the founder, runs the company. Among the company's latest innovations is the new "zero-turn" technology that enables users to turn with ease and pivot quickly around landscaping.

Alfa Farmers members must show their membership card at a participating dealer to receive the 10 percent discount. The benefit is limited to the purchase of one piece of equipment per member each calendar year and applies to the retail price. A list of participating Ariens dealers follows.
