OUTDOOR BURNING BANNED IN ALABAMA
A string of 100-degree days and a continued drought has prompted Alabama forestry officials to ban outdoor burning, a precaution rarely used in the summer. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for some South Alabama counties where triple digit weather is expected for the next few days. The fire alert issued Monday bans outside burning by anyone except some construction companies or businesses that have equipment to control fires and get a permit.
