APPA HOLDS 45TH ANNUAL MEETING

OZARK, Ala. - The Alabama Peanut Producers Association held its 45th annual meeting Feb. 21 in Ozark.Guest speakers at the meeting included Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries Ron Sparks; Reese Langley of Congressman Terry Everett's office; John Jensen, dean of the Auburn University College of Agriculture; Dallas Hartzog, a peanut agronomist with Auburn University; Joan Grider of the Alabama Farm Service Agency and Marshall Lamb of the National Peanut Research and Laboratory. Two new board members were also elected to APPA's Board of Directors during the meeting. They are David Bitto of Baldwin County and Dennis Smith of Coffee County.
