Neighbors magazine is once again sponsoring a photography contest for amateur shutterbugs across the state. Photos may be submitted in three categories: General Agriculture, Children on the Farm and Wildlife. Cash prizes will be awarded for winners in each category, and the best images will be displayed at the Alfa Farmers annual meeting in December. The deadline for entries is Nov. 1. The competition is open to any amateur photographer living in Alabama, but all entries must be original photography taken between Nov. 1, 2003 and Nov. 1, 2005. All photos must have been taken in Alabama, and wildlife entries must be of animals in their natural habitat. Entries must be 8- x 10-inch prints or color transparencies. The entrant must include his of her name, address and title of photo with each entry. Prizes for each category are 1st Place, $300; 2nd Place, $200; 3rd Place, $100. All photographs become the property of Neighbors magazine and will not be returned. Each photographer is limited to three entries per category.
