RISK MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP ANNOUNCED
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The Small Farmers Research Center at Alabama A & M University will host
a Risk Management Training Workshop for the benefit of Outreach/Extension
Specialist and Farmers throughout Alabama and Tennessee. The intent of this
event is to educate ag specialist and farmers on the various aspects of
managing risks related to small-scale farming operations. The two day event is scheduled for Oct. 23-24; it will begin at noon on Thursday and end at 3 pm on Friday. The event will take place in Huntsville, Ala. and is free to all those interested in attending. Meals are provided and hotel accommodations are available for those traveling from a long distance. Anyone interested in learning more about managing financial, marketing, production,
human resource, legal, and environmental risks associated with farm production
are encouraged to attend. The location has yet to be determined, but more
information is forthcoming soon.
