ORNAMENTAL HORTICULTURE FIELD DAY SET FOR OCT. 21
MOBILE, Ala. -- There will be an Ornamental Horticulture Field Day Oct. 21 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Ornamental Horticulture Research Center in Spring Hill (Mobile). All commercial nursery growers and employees are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone who may be interested.
Topics will include discussions on control of various diseases and insects, plant growth regulators, fertilization, control of Cogongrass, use of biosolids in nursery production, and an azalea variety trial update. The meeting is approved for 10 pesticide recertification points for commercial pesticide license holders.
Speakers will be from Auburn University's Department of Horticulture, the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station, and USDA's Agricultural Research Service.
