PRECISION AG AND FIELD CROPS DAY SET FOR JULY 20
A Precision Agricultural and Field Crops day sponsored by the Alabama Farmers Federation will be July 20 in Lawrence County. The field day will feature technology used in precision agriculture and on-farm research in cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans. Tour participants will visit with producers, extension and research personnel, equipment vendors and others in the farming industry. The tour begins at Servico Gin in Courtland. Tour stops include C & C Farm in Courtland; Yeager Farm of Moulton; and Glenn Acres Farm of Hilllsboro. Lunch will include discussions led by Lawrence County Farmers Federation President Sam Spruell, cotton and grain producer Neal Isbell of Colbert County and Kenneth Hood a producer from the Mississippi Delta The meeting is sponsored by the Alabama Farmers Federation, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Alabama Wheat and Feed Grain Producers, Alabama Cotton Commission and Alabama Soybean Producers.
