GREEN INDUSTRY TOUR SET FOR SEPT. 28
A Green Industry Tour featuring some of the top farms in Chilton, Shelby and Talladega counties will be Sept 28. Deadline for registration is Sept. 14. The registration fee is $35. The tour begins at 9 a.m. on Sept. 28 when participants will depart by bus from Petals from the Past in Jemison. Following a tour of Green Valley Farms in Montevallo, the group will visit Barton's Greenhouse and Nursery in Alabaster where the stop will include a lunch sponsored by the Shelby County Farmers Federation. The afternoon portion of the tour will include a visit to Sunbelt Turf Farms in Harpersville and Hunter Trees in Alpine. The tour will conclude about 5 p.m. at Petals from the Past in Jemison.
