CATFISH TOUR SET FOR OCT. 7 IN WEST ALABAMA
Farmers and others interested in catfish production can observe some of the latest production practices and harvesting methods when they attend the West Alabama Catfish Tour Oct. 7. The tour will depart from the Alabama Fish Farming Center in Greensboro at 8:30 a.m. Tour stops will include a catfish harvesting demonstration, Alabama Catfish Feedmill, catfish processing, Bill and Beverly Kyser Farm, Alabama Fish Farming Center and Aquatic Science Complex. The tour is sponsored by Alabama Catfish Producers, a division of the Alabama Farmers Federation. The tour cost is $20 per person and includes lunch at the farm of Bill and Beverly Kyser.
