FOREST LANDOWNER HELP-LINE ESTABLISHED
A toll free help-line and an e-mail address have been established to assist Alabama forest landowners with questions concerning timber damage from Hurricane Ivan. The telephone number is 1-888-645-7237 (in Montgomery area 334-240-9329) and is manned by Alabama Forestry Commission registered foresters Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The help-line is open for any landowner wanting technical help with Hurricane Ivan issues. After normal business hours the call will be transferred to a dispatcher who will take the landowners name and telephone number and a forester will return the call on the next business day. The e-mail address where landowners can ask questions is hurricanehelp@forestry.state.al.us.
