SATSUMA FIELD DAY TO BE HELD APRIL 1
Wiregrass Regional Research Center to host meeting
HEADLAND, Ala. -- A satsuma field day will be held April 1 at the Wiregrass Regional Research and Extension Center in Headland. Registration begins at the center at 8 a.m. that day and is free to producers or those interested in satsuma production. Speakers will discuss topics such as freeze risks and protection, varieties, rootstocks and general culture of satsumas. The meeting also includes tours of the satsuma test plot and discussions on pest control, market research and the state's Farm-to-School Program.
