AGRITOURISM SEMINARS PLANNED FOR JANUARY, FEBRUARY
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Agritourism will be highlighted during a series of 11 seminars this winter sponsored by the Alabama Bureau of Tourism and Travel (ABTT) in cooperation with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. During these sessions, Tom Chesnutt of the Extension System will provide information on Alabama agritourism. ABTT also will provide information on Alabama tourism and The Year of Outdoor Alabama. These two-hour seminars are designed to give persons from attractions, chambers, convention and visitors bureaus, regional tourism groups, accommodations and interested parties a chance to interface with an Alabama Bureau of Tourism and Travel staff member and to learn how to get involved in tourism. ABTT will explain the services offered and provide information on all aspects of tourism. Chesnutt will highlight the Alabama AgriTourism Trail and explain how to start and maintain a successful Agritourism business to become part of the Trail. Seminars are planned for: Jan. 17, Dothan; Jan 18, Butler; Jan 19, Greenville; Jan 24, Cheaha State Park; Jan 25, Tuscaloosa; Jan 26, Clanton; Jan 31, Atmore; Feb 1, Foley; Feb 2, Gulf Shores; Feb 6; Mooresville; and Feb 7, Moulton.
