ALFA CORPORATION ANNOUNCES INCREASE IN QUARTERLY CASH DIVIDEND
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Alfa Corporation announced April 25 that its board of directors has voted to increase the regular quarterly cash dividend to $0.11 per share, an increase of 10 percent percent over the previous quarterly rate. This represents the 32nd consecutive year in which cash dividends have increased. The quarterly cash dividend is payable June 1, 2006, to stockholders of record at the close of business on May 15, 2006. Alfa Corporation is engaged in insurance and financial activities through its subsidiaries. The common stock of Alfa Corporation is traded on the Nasdaq Stock Market's National Market under the symbol ALFA.
