SURVEY SEEKS INPUT FROM GOAT PRODUCERS
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Alabama goat producers are encouraged to participate in a survey being conducted by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Dr. Maria Leite-Browning, who recently was hired by the Extension system as a goat, sheep and rabbit specialist, developed the survey questions. Survey forms were mailed to producers and distributed at workshops around the state. Forms should be returned to the Extension System by Sept. 30. "Results of this survey can serve as a guide for the future of the meat goat industry in Alabama," said Federation Meat Goat and Sheep Division Director Mitt Walker. "It's important that producers participate in the survey so programs can be developed to help them with the challenges they face." For more information, contact Browning at (256) 372-4954, or e-mail at mllbahia@aol.com. A copy of the survey can be downloaded below.
