AP&EA SEMINARS TO READY GROWERS FOR WINTER
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Engineering, management, economics and maintenance -- all issues that require greater attention for Alabama poultry growers in the winter -- will be addressed during the Alabama Poultry & Egg Association's Grower Educational Seminars Oct. 16-17 at several locations around the state. Among the topics and speakers are: Jim Donald, Extension engineer, on goals of wintertime ventilation; Gene Simpson, Extension economist, on energy and management economics of wintertime ventilation; and Jess Campbell, Auburn University poultry housing technician, on a wintertime performance maintenance checklist. The seminars, sponsored by First South Farm Credit and Cumberland/GSI, will be: Oct. 16, 11:30 a.m., Cullman Civic Center, Cullman; Oct. 16, 6 p.m., Snead State Cafeteria, Boaz; Oct. 17, 11:30 a.m., Pike County Cattlemen's Park, Troy; and Oct. 17, 6 p.m., New Brockton Farm Center, New Brockton.
