LIPIZZANER STALLIONS BEGIN ALABAMA TOUR

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The "World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions," often called the horse of battle and ballet, will be swinging through Alabama over the next few weeks as it makes stops in Dothan, Montgomery, Birmingham, Huntsville and Mobile as part of its 36th anniversary tour. The Dothan Civic Center will be the first stop with one show Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Then, it's on to Montgomery's Garrett Coliseum for a single show on Thursday, 7:30 p.m. There will be two shows -- at 2 and 7:30 p.m. -- at the remaining stops: Jan. 13, at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center Arena; Jan. 14, Huntsville's Von Braun Center; and Jan. 27 at the University of South Alabama's Mitchell Center in Mobile.
