NEIGHBORS PHOTO CONTEST DEADLINE NOV. 1
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Nov. 1 entry deadline is drawing near for amateur shutterbugs across the state to get their best shots in to Neighbors magazine for its photography contest. Photos may be submitted in three categories: General Agriculture, Children on the Farm and Wildlife. Cash prizes will be awarded for winners in each category, and the best images will be displayed Dec. 1-4 at the Alabama Farmers Federation's 86th Annual Meeting in Mobile. The competition is open to any amateur photographer living in Alabama who is a member of the Alabama Farmers Federation, but all entries must be original photography taken between Nov. 1, 2005 and Nov. 1, 2007. All photos must have been taken in Alabama, and wildlife entries must be of animals in their natural habitat. Entries must be 8- x 10-inch prints. The entrant must include his or her name, address, phone number and title of photo on a 4x5 card with each entry. Prizes for each category are 1st Place, $300; 2nd Place, $200; 3rd Place, $100. All photographs become the property of Neighbors magazine and will not be returned. Each photographer is limited to three entries per category.
