HONEY BOARD GIVES BOOST TO 'BEE MOVIE'
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Honey is going Hollywood Nov. 2 when DreamWorks releases Bee Movie, an animated adventure that will be getting a promotional push from the National Honey Board.Written by Jerry Seinfeld and featuring his voice and those of Renee Zellweger, Kathy Bates, Chris Rock and John Goodman, the movie is expected to generate positive publicity about beekeeping and highlight the important role bee pollination plays in plant production. The National Honey Board has provided a link on its Web site at
http://www.honey.com/beemovie/, and has produced Bee Movie promotional materials for producers and packers to use at retail and farmers markets. The materials, which include graphics from the movie and a "100 percent pure honey" message, could also be used by beekeepers and beekeeping organizations at honey promotion events and farmers markets.
