ALFA SENDS MOBILE RESPONSE UNITS TO TORNADO-STRICKEN AREAS
MONTGOMERY, Ala., Feb. 6 -- Alfa Insurance has dispatched its Mobile Response Units to North Alabama to assist with claims service in the aftermath of today's tornadoes. In Moulton, a unit will be located in the parking lot of the Foodland grocery store at the intersection of Highway 157 and Court St. The other unit will be located at the Alfa service center at 2449 County Road 58 in Pisgah. The two self-contained, 38-foot-long buses can provide connectivity to Alfa's network via satellite, cellular or land line technology. They are equipped with computer stations inside and connection points outside to serve as mobile offices. Alfa is also dispatching additional claims adjusters to both areas to meet the anticipated increase in claims activity. The Mobile Response Units and the additional adjusters will remain in the areas as long as needed. Alfa customers can file a claim in person at any Alfa service center. After-hours claims reporting is available by calling 1-800-964-2532. Alfa and its affiliates provide insurance and other financial services to more than 1 million customers in 13 states.
