RALPH RETIREMENT MARKS 41 YEARS OF ALFA SERVICE
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- J.C. Ralph, Alfa Insurance's senior vice president of North Alabama Marketing, will retire June 30 after almost 42 years of service.
A former high school teacher and basketball coach, Ralph joined Alfa as a claims adjuster in December 1966, after his friend and then Alfa agent Wayne Hawkins encouraged him to apply for the position. In 1976, Ralph accepted a
position as a district manager in the North Alabama area, a role he filled until 2000 when he was promoted to his current position.
Ralph has won many awards throughout his career, including two Silver and five Gold Distinguished Service Awards and membership in the elite
Hall of Fame. He also won District Manager of the Year in 1983 and 1985 through 1990.
Executive Vice President of Marketing Herman Watts said that Ralph's easygoing personality and genuine love of people he works with has been an asset to Ralph's success.
"J.C. has always been a leader with our marketing team, with a proven record of success. He always wears a genuine smile because he loves people, especially the Alfa family," Watts said. "He has brought tremendous value to our team and I am thankful for his many years of dedicated service."
Ralph looks forward to enjoying more time with his family. He has three daughters, Adrianne Smith, Sondra Heath and Michelle Leopard and seven
grandchildren. The Ralphs plan to spend much time at their lake house and also do a lot of traveling, he said.
