H-2A SEMINAR SCHEDULED AUG. 26 IN MOBILE
MOBILE, Ala. -- Dan Bremer, president of AgWorks, Inc., a Lake Park, Ga., firm that specializes in acquiring temporary workers for agriculture and other industries, will be the guest speaker at a free H-2A seminar at the Jon Archer Center in Mobile on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 7 p.m.
The H-2A temporary agricultural program establishes a means for agricultural employers who anticipate a shortage of domestic workers to bring nonimmigrant foreign workers to the U.S. to perform agricultural labor or services of a temporary or seasonal nature.
Sponsored by the Mobile County Farmers Federation's Greenhouse Nursery & Sod Committee, the seminar will also feature local producers Andy Thornburg, Oliver Washington IV and Mark Williams who will discuss their own experiences with the H-2A program.
