HIGHWAY REQUIREMENTS BROCHURE AVAILABLE
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- A free brochure summarizing the new federal transportation regulations and how they affect Alabama farmers is now available from the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries and the Alabama Department of Public Safety. "Alabama Highway Safety Requirements for Farmers," developed with the help of the co-sponsoring Alabama Farmers Federation, is a pamphlet-sized quick reference guide that farmers can keep in the glove compartment of their farm trucks. The guide offers a quick glance at vehicle descriptions, weight ratings and the law's requirements. Other sponsors of the pamphlets are the Alabama Cattlemen's Association, the Alabama Forestry Association, Alabama Nursery & Landscape Association and the Alabama Poultry and Egg Association.
