RFD-TV TO AIR PROGRAM FEATURING ALABAMA FARMS
The latest Farm Bureau's Voices of Agriculture program produced by the Alabama Farmers Federation for RFD-TV will air Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 5:30 p.m. (CDT). It will repeat several more times during the following week. Featured stories include Alabama's drought; farmers who switched from cotton to other commodities; copper theft and how it's affecting farmers already faced with record high input costs; Alabama's Ag in the Classroom program and Alabama's 2008 Farm of Distinction winners, Lamar and Felicia Dewberry of Clay County. The Dewberrys will represent Alabama in the Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year competition, Oct. 14 in Moultrie, Ga. Farm Bureau's Voices of Agriculture is a cooperative program produced among more than a dozen state Farm Bureaus. Each week, an episode is produced by a different state in the organization.
