IDENTITY THEFT SERVICES NEW FEDERATION BENEFIT

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Alabama Farmers Federation is ringing in the New Year with a new member benefit that works to stop identity thieves in their tracks -- Identity Theft Services, powered by Identity Theft 911®, the nation's leader in identity theft resolution and fraud education.

This service is free to Federation members only. It is NOT an insurance policy and does NOT cover losses due to identity theft. Instead, Identity Theft Services protects and restores identities by providing members their own fraud specialist to take preemptive measures and help replace missing or destroyed documents if a loss occurs.

"Now, our members can count on instant, one-on-one access to a highly experienced fraud specialist, who provides unlimited assistance, regardless of how long it takes," said Mike Tidwell, director of the Federation's Organization Department. "The fraud specialist does the work, guiding our members through the resolution process -- step-by step from start to finish -- so they can move on with their life."

Identity theft is one of the fastest-growing crimes in America today as thieves steal mail, skim credit cards, hack into ATMs and rummage through garbage in search of their next victim. It's easy to see how a lost or stolen wallet, laptop or passport, can lead to unauthorized purchases or fraudulent loans. Plus, personal financial papers can also be destroyed by fire, flood or tornadoes.

It's no wonder Identity Theft 911 has become one of the most trusted names in the business. In fact, Federation President Jerry A. Newby said Identity Theft 911's vast experience and reputation for service were why it was selected to meet this growing need.

What's more, victims automatically receive one year of credit monitoring, including a 3-in-1 credit report, and a year of state-of-the-art fraud monitoring of 1,000 public record data bases at no additional cost.
