ALABAMA HORSE FAIR TO FEATURE WESTFALL
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Trainers Stacy Westfall, Kerry Kuhn and Steve Jones will be among the featured guests during the Alabama Horse Council's annual Alabama Horse Fair Jan. 24-25 at Montgomery's Garrett Coliseum. Westfall, the first woman to win "Road to the Horse" competition and a contributer to Horse & Rider magazine, will host a full day of educational demonstrations, hands-on clinics, lectures and training tips on Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. On Sunday, Kuhn of RFD-TV's Best of America By Horseback, will join Steve Jones, associate professor of beef cattle and equine at the University of Arkansas, in judging the Great Alabama Trail Horse Competition with $2,500 in prize money at stake. The event is open to all riders and entry forms are available at www.AlabamaHorseCouncil.org or by calling 1-800-945-8033. The event will also feature a mounted shooting demonstration, drill team, silent auction and equine vendors. A 60-foot round pen will also be given away.
