AUBURN TO HOST DAIRY U PROGRAM FOR YOUTH
AUBURN, Ala. -- Youth looking to learn more about dairy cattle can now enroll in DAIRY U (Dairy Awareness Introductory Resource for Youth U), an educational, hands-on workshop for aspiring dairy producers ages 9 to 19. DAIRY U, set for Saturday, May 9, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Stanley P. Wilson Beef Teaching Unit, will address identification of dairy breeds, terminology, feeding, evaluation and more. There will also be a milking demonstration and a visit to the dairy at AU's veterinary school. Cost is $10 per participant, plus $10 per additional guest, and includes lunch.
