WEB CONFERENCE TO FOCUS ON IPM PRACTICES
AUBURN, Ala. -- Dr. Ayanava Majumdar, an entomologist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, will address Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices in agronomic crops and commercial horticulture for producers and crop consultants during an interactive Web conference April 15. The conference, to be held from 8:15 a.m. until noon, will be available at several locations across the state. "Overall, it promises to be an informative event covering a wide range of IPM topics across multiple crops including row crops, fruits and vegetables," says Majumdar. "Mark the date and time on your calendar." In addition to Majumdar, the event will include speakers from both ACES and Auburn University as well as Dr. Ricardo Bessin, Extension entomologist from the University of Kentucky, and Dr. Alton Sparks, Extension entomologist from the University of Georgia.
