ALABAMA ADVENTURE OFFERS FEDERATION ONLINE SAVINGS
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Members of the Alabama Farmers Federation won't have to count pennies -- or travel very far -- to enjoy a getaway this summer, thanks to a recent online ticket purchase agreement with Alabama Adventure's Splash Beach Water Park and Magic City USA theme park in Birmingham.
When Alabama Adventure first teamed with the Federation two years ago, members received $7 off its admission price. Now, members who purchase their tickets online can receive more than double those savings. It would normally cost $38.14 (tax included) to buy a general admission ticket at the gate, but Federation members who buy online can now get tickets for only $24, tax included -- a savings of $14.14!
The online discount also applies to season passes, which Federation members can buy for only $60 (tax included).
"The Federation has enjoyed its relationship with Alabama Adventure's parks for two years now," said Organization Director Mike Tidwell. "But this new arrangement gives our members a way to save even more. In times such as this, when people are looking for ways to vacation closer to home, this is very welcome news."
What's more, Federation members can enjoy even greater savings as Alabama Adventure celebrates "Alfa Weekend" on July 24-26. Federation members can purchase one-day tickets online for that weekend for only $18!
During this special Federation weekend, guests will be able to attend the Kate Voegele concert on Friday, July 24, and the .38 Special concert on Sunday, July 26. Voegele, who also appears on the television show One Tree Hill, will be performing songs from her album, "Don't Look Away." Meanwhile, .38 Special will perform many of its classic rock hits such as "Hold On Loosely," "Teacher Teacher," "Second Chance" and many others.
Those concerts are among a summer lineup that will also include recording artists like contemporary Christian artist Mercy Me (June 20), five-time Grammy nominee Jazmine Sullivan (June 26), classic rockers Three Dog Night (July 19) and Raven from the Disney TV show That's So Raven (Aug. 2). For more information on concerts and events, call (205) 481-4750.
"This year, there is something for everyone," said Brian McDuff, the parks' marketing manager. "Whether you are a fan of classic rock, country, gospel or pop, we have something you will love."
In addition to the concerts, the 90-acre park near Birmingham offers an action-packed events calendar. If you like the excitement of roller coasters, then you'll want to see the real life, sky high twists and turns of Cirque Magnifico -- a traveling troupe of acrobats making a week-long stop June 9-14. These body-bending stars perform across the nation, and this will be their first stop in Alabama. Other events include the Latin cultural festival, Fiesta de la Aventura, on June 21, "Gospel Sundays" throughout the months of August and September and Oktoberfest in September.
To purchase $24 any-day tickets online, members must visit www.AlfaFarmers.org/member_benefits and click on the link to "Alabama Adventure Web ticket sales site."
