FEDERATION OFFERS AUTO-BUYING SERVICE AS NEW MEMBER BENEFIT

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Members can now leave the headaches and hassles of buying a new car to someone else, thanks to a new membership benefit offered by the Alabama Farmers Federation -- a free automobile buying service from Members Automobile Buying Service of America (MABS).

With a simple phone call to MABS, members can turn over the stress and headaches of car-buying to an experienced team of professionals who will locate the car you want and negotiate the best possible price. It's a free service for Federation members, but costs non-members $199.

"MABS employees provide professional, courteous service and they become your advocate in the buying process," said Mike Tidwell, director of the Federation's Department of Organization. "You don't have to spend hours searching for the right car, dealing with high-pressure salesmen or wondering if you got the best price."

Tidwell himself used MABS recently to find his father a new truck. "They found the truck in two days," Tidwell said. "When I walked onto the dealer's lot, the truck was sitting there waiting for me. I looked it over and went in, signed the papers and had the keys all within about 20 minutes."

MABS, a Macon, Ga.,-based company with staff that draws on 80 years of experience in the automotive industry, works for you. Its staff is comprised of former automobile executives, managers and sales associates who know how cars are bought and sold in a dealership environment. MABS can work with dealers anywhere in the United States, using the leverage of a collective buying power from membership organizations like the Federation.

"MABS is about more than just getting the best price -- it's also about getting the best vehicle and saving our members time," says Mark Sanchez, president of MABS. "We serve strictly as an advocate for the member, and we are dedicated to providing every member with excellent service through the entire process."

With a toll-free call to MABS at 1-800-849-4811, members can start the car-buying process in a matter of minutes. Simply provide your membership number and a MABS representative will conduct a short interview to get all the information about the vehicle you want to buy, the price you're willing to pay and how far you're willing to travel to make the purchase.

MABS then uses an in-depth database to locate the new vehicle you want -- or a used vehicle that has at least one year remaining on the factory warranty. MABS will post high-quality photos of its findings to MABSAmerica.com (currently under construction). Members can then securly access selected vehicles or receive vehicle photos by email. All along the way, you can ask questions about any vehicle.

Once you've decided which vehicle you want (and you can test drive any of them at any time), MABS will then negotiate the purchase price with the dealer. If needed, MABS will also negotiate the trade-in value for the member's old vehicle as well as the best financing available based upon your credit information. Of course, you can get financing or sell your old vehicle on your own. Either way, you decide.

Upon the member's approval and acceptance of the terms, MABS will set a convenient appointment time for the member to take delivery. Members will also have the peace of mind that comes with knowing MABS uses a patented vehicle history search process to make sure members receive not only the best price but the best vehicle. From the time the search begins until the dotted line is signed -- or any point in between -- you call the shots. Even if you decide not to complete the transaction, you can walk away without cost or obligation at any time prior to signing a contract. You can also use MABS as many times and as often as you wish.

Usually, MABS is able to locate, negotiate and set an appointment for delivery within 72 hours of the members' initial call.

If you purchase a vehicle using this program, MABS receives a $350 fee from the dealership. According to MABS, that's the average amount per vehicle that a dealer would normally pay for advertising.
