AP&EA SEMINARS TO OFFER CAFO CREDIT
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Participants attending next week's grower seminars sponsored by the Alabama Poultry and Egg Association will get a little something extra -- three hours of continuing education credit toward their Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) requirements, according to Johnny Adams, AP&EA's executive director. To receive the continuing education units, producers must sign in at the meeting. The Oct. 26 seminars will be held at 11:30 a.m., at the Cullman Civic Center in Cullman and at 6 p.m. at Snead State cafeteria in Boaz. On Oct. 27, seminars will be at 11:30 a.m. at the Harbin Ag Center in Luverne and at 6 p.m. at the Coffee County Farm Center in New Brockton. Each session will feature updates on the animal rights movement, Alabama's avian influenza monitoring program and Alabama Department of Environmental Management and Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation issues.
