VOTERS REMINDED OF ABSENTEE BALLOT DEADLINES
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Voters who plan to cast absentee ballots by mail for the June 1 primary elections are reminded that their ballots must be mailed by Saturday, May 29, according to information posted on the Alabama Secretary of State's Web site. www.AlabamaVotes.gov, the state's official election Web site, says this deadline is due to the closure of post offices and most state and county offices for Memorial Day on May 31. The deadline for hand-delivered absentee ballots is Friday, May 28.
