ALDOT TO HOLD ABSOLUTE AUCTION FRIDAY
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Farm tractors, trucks, vans, SUVs and lawn and construction equipment will be on the auction block Friday, Oct. 29, when the Alabama Department of Transportation holds a public auction, beginning at 10 a.m. Accordcing to Transportation Director Joe McInnes, the vehicles are well maintained and in good shape. The auction brings in revenue that is used to invest in new equipment. Last year, ALDOT auctions brought in more than $8 million. Potential buyers may view inventory at the ALDOT facility at 537 Traffic Operations Dirve in Montgomery until 4 p.m. today and from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Friday. Items can also be previewed and buyers can sign up to bid at www.jmwood.com.
