ALFA INSURANCE® WORKING THROUGH THE WEEKEND TO PROCESS CLAIMS
MONTGOMERY, Ala., April 29 -- Alfa Insurance® adjusters will be working Saturday and Sunday to process claims in the areas hit hardest by Wednesdayʼs tornadoes.
AlfaTM offices in north Alabama also will be open Saturday.
Alfa has offices in all 67 Alabama counties with local personnel who can take claims. In
addition, the company has mobilized more than 100 claims adjusters and other employees to serve policyholders in the impacted areas.
Alfaʼs two Mobile Response Units (MRUs) have been dispatched to assist in areas still
without electricity. One has been set up in a parking lot adjacent to the Save-A-Lot
grocery store in the 1700 block of Highway 31 in Cullman. A second unit is serving as a
hub for adjusters serving northeast Alabama. It is located at the Alfa claims office at
1611 Rainbow Drive in Gadsden.
The 38-foot-long buses can serve as fully functional Alfa offices, even if power and
communications are out in the impacted area. Using the latest satellite technology, the
MRUs can connect to Alfaʼs computer network and are equipped with cellular and land
