AG ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SEEKS HALL OF HONOR NOMINATIONS
AUBURN, Ala. -- The Auburn University Agricultural Alumni Association is seeking nominations through July 15 for the 2012 Alabama Agriculture Hall of Honor awards. The prestigious awards recognize outstanding contributions to Alabama agriculture in the areas of agribusiness, education and government, and production. Two pioneer awards also will be given posthumously to individuals whose lives and work had a lasting impact on Alabama's farming community. The 2012 Hall of Honor awards program will be Feb. 23, 2012, in Auburn. The Alabama Agriculture Hall of Honor was established in 1984 by the AU Ag Alumni Association to recognize Alabamians who have made significant contributions to the state's agricultural industry. More than 80 agricultural leaders have been inducted into the Hall of Honor, and 30 pioneers have been recognized posthumously.
