ALABAMA FORAGE CONFERENCE SET FOR DEC. 1
Forage producers will have the opportunity to hear from several speakers on optimizing forage production and management as they gather at Lake Guntersville State Park Dec. 1 for the 2011 Alabama Forage Conference.Alabama Cooperative Extension System Agent Kent Stanford says the one-day conference provides producers with an excellent opportunity to learn the latest information and research on forages and grazing management. As part of the conference, participants will also be able to select from three concurrent sessions on clovers, weed control and nutrient management. Continuing education credits for CAFO, CCA and Pesticide Applicator will be available. Registration received by Nov. 18 is $25 per person and increases to $30 after this date. Registration fees include lunch. Checks should be made payable to the Alabama Forage and Grassland Coalition. The conference is sponsored by the Alabama Forage and Grassland Coalition, of which the Alabama Farmers Federation is a member.
