The Alabama Cooperative Extension System will host a free food safety training workshop at the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center in Headland Thursday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During the workshop, attendees will learn about bacteria and other harmful microorganisms commonly associated with fresh produce; how to develop a personalized GAP plan; how to develop standard operation procedures for farms or packing operations, and details on the USDA’s third-party audit process.
